Questions
Questions families ask
If yours isn't here, call the camp or send a question.
Which children is camp for?
Camp is for children entering grades 3 to 8, about ages 8 to 13. Campers are in a group with others entering the same grades.
What is a day at camp like?
Campers arrive at 9:00 a.m., sign in at the door and join a circle where we share the day's challenge. There are two build blocks, lunch and outside time, and a short test-and-share at the end. Pickup is at 3:30 p.m.
What does a week build?
Each week has one theme: bridges and towers, circuits and light, rockets and flight, machines that move, water engineering, and a design challenge. Campers make several things in a week, and Friday is demo day.
What should my camper bring?
A backpack with a lunch and snack, a filled water bottle, closed-toe shoes, a hat and sunscreen put on at home. Everything else we supply. Phones and games stay home.
What happens in heat or rain?
We move activities inside when it is very hot, stormy or wet, and launches wait for a clear day. We text families before camp if anything about the day changes.
How does pickup work, and who can collect my child?
Only adults on your pickup list, who sign your camper out at the door and show photo ID until we know them. If someone new is coming, tell us in writing before the day.
How does tuition work?
Tuition depends on the weeks you book and whether you choose early or late care. Our registration page has the figures.
How do I hold a place, and what is the waitlist?
A place is held once we have your registration and the first week's payment. When a week is full, families join a waitlist, and we offer places in the order families joined.
What about allergies and medicine?
Tell us at registration, and we ask what we need privately. Counselors who give medicine have medication training.
Can a friend join my child's group?
Yes, when they are entering the same grades and the week has room. Tell us the names of both families when you register, and we will group them together where we can.
Still have a question?
Call the camp, or send us a message and we will reply within one working day.
