Family policies

What families ask before a first day, in plain words.

Photos of your child

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

What to wear and bring

Closed-toe shoes, clothes that can get glue, paint or water on them, a hat and a water bottle. We supply every material, and a light sweater is useful because the classrooms run cool.

Sun, heat and water

Outdoor blocks have shade, a water break and a hat, and sunscreen goes on at home. Water week happens at tables and in tubs, with towels and a counselor at each table. There is no swimming at camp.

Drop-off and pickup

An adult on your list signs your camper in and out at the door every day, and shows photo ID until we know them. If someone new is coming, tell us in writing before that day. Early drop-off and late pickup are booked by the week.

When to keep your child home

Please keep your camper home with a fever, and until they feel well again. If a camper feels ill at camp, we call you, and a counselor stays with them until you arrive.

Meals, snacks and allergies

Campers bring a lunch and a snack from home, and we keep a water station filled. Tell us about allergies at registration; we ask what we need privately and plan seating and activities around it.

Closures for weather and holidays

When it is very hot, stormy or wet, activities move inside, and launches wait for a clear day. We text families before camp if anything about the day changes, and we close for the Independence Day holiday.

Screens and phones

Phones, watches and games stay at home. When a build calls for a laptop, it is ours and a counselor is with the group. You can always reach your camper through the camp phone.

Questions about a policy?

Call the camp and we will talk it through before you register.
